OUR PROJECT FOCUS
EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS
We strive to give equal opportunity of education to all children by providing financial support to those in unfavorable economic situations. we hope to increase the productivity of youths in science, sports, arts, community, and social work in Malawi.
WOMEN AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
we partner with local authorities, tertiary and vocational institutions to provide leadership and vocational skills training as well as macro & micro-economics education to boost financial literacy and promote sustainable economic growth in communities.
PUBLIC HEALTH PROMOTION
In an effort to assist Malawi health professionals, we centralize our attention in the health sector to sustainable strategies such as community nutrition education and permaculture training to improve & increase dietary disease management and food security at household levels.
FUTURE PROJECTS: 2024 TO 2026
FREE EDUCATION COACHING (REVISION TUTORING FOR MANEB CANDIDATES)
In response to the recent decrease in MANEB pass rates in Malawi, YOMOR conducted surveys among candidates to identify the cause of the problem. As a step to address the issues raised, we intend to sponsor Youth Education Centers and a group of teachers and qualified volunteers to provide Math, English, and Science revisions in selected public schools in Malawi. We plan to equip the Youth Education Centers with necessary supplies such as microscopes and slides, geography maps, mathematical sets, calculators, etc.
REASEARCH GRANTS AND RESEARCH MENTORSHIP
We aim to encourage Malawian professionals to actively engage in research within their respective fields, with the goal of developing innovative solutions to local and global challenges. YOMOR plans to give grants to qualified candidates, with consideration of passionate citizens who will be trained and mentored in research methodology by scholars and professors from our international partnering universities. Our vision for this project is to foster a synergy of creativity, passion, intellect, and expertise within research endeavors in Malawi.
BETTER FIGHT: CANCER MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
The increase of cancer cases and its devastating effects are of concern to YOMOR. We are currently considering a number of approaches and strategies to assist the health professionals, oncology patients and guardians in their fight against cancer. More information will be provided once we conclude assessments, discussions and planning process. We strongly encourage interested individuals and institutions to join this effort.
